Who Do We Think We Are?

During Enterprise Week (7th-11th July) we  investigated this question more by visiting Brick Lane; Brixton and China Town. Click on the photo of Jordan the Hoodie with skis to find out more and click on the articles by Student X in the table below. These include two radio interviews.

The title Who do we think we are? comes from a history/geography project we are working on of the same name (click on the name for more information). We are also working on another project called Geo-Citizens to develop our ideas further. Go to the 'Citzenship' subject area for more information.

We feel that we need to be aware of ourselves first before we can really begin to understand others and the environment.

There are few ways we will be looking at this idea of identity and our ideas will probably change but first of all we will use these 2 approaches;
  • by learning from others through our link with Kobi Nazrul School (the photo below is from a recent visit of Kobi Nazrul student to Glebe School - in the Wild Area)
  • by thinking about identity by using the 'My Place in Britain'  unit and the cultural geography unit from the GCSE Pilot - see the table below.
